who is Danielle, anyways?
Well, since you asked, Danielle is really a lot of things. I’m a singer, Texas Christian University undergraduate student, dancer, actress, lover of vines, fan of peanut butter, Gamma Phi Beta sorority member, a dreamer, leader, leo, nerd and actress, just to name a few. Although...I am NOT a Texan! I've come a bit of a ways to get to this new home in Fort Worth. I am originally from Portland, Oregon. Immersed in a totally different culture, I am absolutely loving college at TCU so far! It took only two weeks here for me to trade in my Northwestern rainboots for cowgirl boots. Being far from my home is a little difficult sometimes, but my 3 roommates, sorority sisters, and many new friends make the perfect substitute family.
There are lots of things that make me happy. I love traveling, especially with my family. I'm always up for adventure, which is why I was eager to try living in a new town. My favorite city is New York City, and I hope to spend my future days as a struggling artist in that beautiful and exciting place! I also hope that sometime in the near future, I will have the opportunity to travel outside of the country, I would love to study abroad at some point. A few other things that make me smile are yoga (I've been wanting to try GOAT YOGA), great music, running, talking politics, surfing, minions, snow, and anything involving dogs! From French vocab words to acting techniques, I am always excited to learn new things, and have been blessed with amazing classes and kind professors all year. And while we're talking about school...
Ok. So, why is she blogging?
This blog is a frequently evolving digital portfolio, archive and workspace for my English class (Introduction to Composition: Writing as Inquiry)! The focus of this class is online writing, and what better way to practice than creating and maintaining a website? On this site you will find projects and blog posts focusing on rhetorical analysis of digital platforms such as instagram, wikipedia, and other online communities. Feel free to explore my findings by clicking through the main tabs above! OR, continue scrolling down to learn a bit more about me before diving into the heavy research!
